Can you customize the mapping from plugins to the S series Mk3
I am impossibly disappointed with the default mappings of parameters from plugins like Massive X to my new S61 mk3 keyboard. Pages and pages of 1 useful parameter each. and each mapping starts with EQ??? what a useless default mapping. with as astounded as I am that this looks like the same "parameter order" mapping we have seen from Novation and tons of others, im more shocked that the developers didnt at least order these in a way that put something like oscillators first.
Anyway, all that frustration and seemingly wasted money aside, if i could customize the mappings for instruments and save them i would be happy to do the work. id be even happier if i am a moron and just dont see where the meaningful mappings are stored and somehow this isnt a useless gimick.

Not sure what you're looking at but for Massive X the mappings follow the macros so only have an EQ in the first slot if an EQ is assigned to the macro - which you of course can change in the plugin - there are not 'pages and pages' of mappings
Komplete Kontrol also lets you assign whatever mappings you want for plugins generally - just unlock the lock button in the top right and use the learn button next to it to map params

you do need to do a full plugin rescan in KK so the NKS are aligned with the VST3

In my experience, default mappings are just that. Default..but not always the most interesting or useful depending on what I want to achieve in a particular project. In general the first thing I tend to do is experiment with changing the default mappings and assigning the modifiable parameters I'm most interested in working with to things like the mod wheel, touchstrip, adjustable knob or expression pedal. I often save those modified presets as favorites so I can reuse them on different projects.
There's no reason to be disappointed with the software since it's impossible for any vendor to know how you might want to use it, so just make it what you want.

so i think i am figuring this out... im still very disappointed. So far none of my arturia V collection synths load at all. Monark is 8 pages of uneditable parameters (im sure thats the same for all reaktor instruments) and it seems that for even all the rest of the NI instruments only a small fraction are the latest NKS and therefore have editable parameters.
I think this may be a great keyboard but it is not nearly what it is being sold as. its very expensive for being relevant only to a narrow band of products. no more help needed as the deficiency is with the product not my understanding of it anymore.

Not true - if the Arturia plugins are not loading then you have an installation error of some kind because they do work fine in KK. Did you install the NKS content through ASC?
As for Reaktor, Monark is mapped if you load it from the NkS patches in KK, it sounds like you are loading it directly within Reaktor so obviously it won’t have the KK specific mappings loaded that way. Same for all Factory ensembles, load them from the NKS. there are also tons of user library ensembles adapted for NKS, eg check out Bella from Goremall

i will be happy to find that this is user error. what is ASC?

sorry yes. i did load my v collection through the arturia software center

i am running a m3 macbook pro. the v collection runs fine when i load them independantly but says "Acid V could not be loaded, as it may not yet Apple Silicon or vst2 or vst3 migration. please contact the plugin manufacturer for more information".
I did reach out to Arturia support 5 days ago but have not had any response beyond the automated "we got your message" email.

That usually happens when the NKS are outdated and still expecting to load the VST2, have you got silent installs turned on in ASC? I suggest turning it off and running an installer again to check if Third party content is selected. The Arturia plugins all should work perfectly fine on Mx series processors in NKS.

I uninstalled everything, unchecked silent installs, im reinstalling one by one. ive confirmed that nks resources are being installed and deselected vst2 versions. installs occur without error.
plugins open fine in ableton 11. load komplete kontrol vst3 version, attempt to open arp 2600 v3 or acid v in this case. Same error message as previously mentioned occurs.

Ok, new question same topic though... now that i know how to edit mappings (which i did for monark) how do I save that mapping? I relocked it when i finished but when i closed and reopened KK it was back to the factory setting

Click the three dots in KK and save a preset there.

Yeah save it as a NKS preset. Then you can use it as a template to save out other presets or just for control
