Komplete Kontrol is not recognizing my MK2 S61 Controller in the computer

I've been using the MK2 S61 Controller and it's worked so far until today. The plugins work because I hear sound and I can play them using my laptop keys, but my controller won't even show up under MIDI in the settings. I made sure everything was up to date, everything is plugged in properly and I haven't updated my computer software yet to Sonoma even though it's available. Would anyone happen to know why this is happening all of a sudden?

Please check in Mac security that there has not been any mishap that has altered settings and that all the NI stuff have full disk access.

I got it to work. I didn’t give KK Full Disk Access after I downgraded the version and then upgraded again. Thanks for all your help!

"I made sure everything was up to date" could be the problem. If you updated Komplete Kontrol to 3.10.0 that doesn't support the MK1 keyboard. You have two options. Cheap option is to uninstall KK3, download the 2.9.6 version from here Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 - Last VST2 supported version — Community (native-instruments.com) and install/use that. Expensive option is to by a MK2 or MK3 keyboard which is supported by KK3. I went with installing the older software!

I have the MK2 61 Keyboard and I uninstalled KK3 and I’m using the 2.9 version. My plugins still aren’t showing up on my controller.

ok ... Thought you said you had a MK1 - note to self, read question properly !! Does anything work on the keyboard? Like browsing inside KK?

No. The controller works because it turns on in the beginning and then the lights stay blue and the screen is greyed out.

I've not had my NI System for too long , it was working fine before updating to the New Mac OS Sonoma .

Since last October 2023, There's been Major problems even after loading, up in the last few weeks the latest NI New updated Mac fix onto my Mac ,

Komplete Kontrol & Kontakt 7 , Will not load up any Programs , and my Mk2 S61 midi controller's screens are Greyed out,The lefthand screen shows some programs but you can't browse any of those at all , so no previews or anything at all

There's No sounds to audition.

I've Opened Both Komplete Kontrol & Kontakt 7 as stand alone as well , And also in Ableton Live 11, with the same results No programs will load into either Komplete or Kontakt 7 , in Kontakt 6 there are programs loaded

but when you try and open the newer programs on kontakt 6 you are notified that this version of Kontakt is too old and i must upgrade too Kontakt 7 which i already have , but of course it doesn't work.

Any Help / advice would be gratefully appreciated

Hey. The problem with mine is that the usb adapter I was using was broken, so I got another usb adapter and now it’s working. Maybe you could try that.
