Why is my 'Browser' button not working Kontrol s61 MK3

I just purchased a Kontrol s61 MK3 MIDI Keyboard. I've installed the firmware, software, and updates. My DAW is Studio One 6 Pro. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

    The issue is resolved. It was my bad :-( You guys do great support. I thought I had KK3 running but I did not. Sorry about the confusion.

    Did you try reinstalling the softwares?

    Thanks for the fast reply Milos. Yes, I did re-install the software, but the results were the same.

    I presume you have Komplete Kontrol 3 installed and open?

    Just a thought, assuming you do have KK3 up and running, are you expecting the browser button to flip the KK software from plugin to browser view, because it doesn't do that. It only does that in the on keyboard display - so the browser button should work on the keyboard, but don't expect it to flip between plugin and browser views on the software KK.

    Hi Kymeie, Yes, KK is installed and open. Do you know anyone using Kontrol s61 MK3 and Studio One 6?

    I only have the KK3 software, still on a MkII here, but I am using it in Studio One (amongst other things)

    My concern is the BROWSER button on my MK3 never lights up. The DAW button is always lights up. Is there a button combination I need to press to activate the BROWSER button? I've spent 2 full days reading articles and documents, but can find a solution. Benn

    I only have my MkII to go by, but on that it is lit, but dimmer, until pressed. If you do press it does anything happen on the keyboard screen? (with KK 3 open of course)

    Is it otherwise loading and controlling plugins?

    If it's not lit up, that implies a connection issue.

    Have you installed the latest keyboard firmware?

    Have you installed the NI Hardware Connection Service? Is it currently running?

    Those would be my first guesses.

    i have a same problem,

    windows 11

    AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz 16gb

    Ableton 11 suite

    I just purchased a KONTROL S61. downloaded and installed all the software. updated. everything worked properly for exactly one day. then only the DAW button lights up. BROWSER button does not function. Reinstalling HARDWARE CONNECTION SERVICE helped only once, then to no avail. DEFAULT MIDI TEMPLATE on the screen. everything works on Ableton like i can still make music, but I can't control the settings, it's only possible with the mouse. When opening the KOMLETE KONTROL APP, the browser works and you can even hear the preview of the instruments, but after loading there is no sound and there is no visual highlighting of keystrokes.

    I'm confused.

    Well the original problem was down to user error (not having KK3 running). If this is happening and you do have KK3 running then it is a different problem. So when you open Live you will see the DAW button light up, then you need to load the KK plugin, then you can switch between browser and plugin views on the keyboard. Browser view gives you an overview of all your NKS content which you can browse and the plugin view gives you direct control of the loaded plugin
