I recently acquired a Komplete Audio 1 with the intention of connecting my electric guitar to it and playing along with MP3 files. I diligently followed the provided instructions, installed the necessary software from NI, and completed all the setup steps.
Once everything was properly connected and configured, I plugged in my guitar. The interface's meter indicated that it was receiving the guitar signal, and in GR5 (which I've used successfully in a different setup), I could observe the signal on the level meters. However, the issue arose when I couldn't hear any audio output.
For my PC headphones, I use Corsair Void Pro with a USB dongle. Unfortunately, when using the Komplete ASIO driver, I couldn't select a different output. In an attempt to troubleshoot, I uninstalled the Komplete driver and opted for ASIO4ALL. This allowed me to choose my headphones as the output, and I could hear audio, although with noticeable static, crackles, and pops when playing the guitar. This test confirmed that the signal was successfully transmitted from the interface to the PC.
When using the Komplete audio driver and selecting DX instead of ASIO, I could also choose my headphones, and the sound quality was acceptable. However, the latency was unmanageable.
I'm seeking suggestions or any questions you may have to help resolve this issue.
Thank you.
(Thanks to ChatGPT for helping me word this in a way that conveyed my thoughts a lot better than my own original attempt.. LOL!)
