Komplete Kontrol S series MK1 keyboards End Of Life

Never said anything about any conspiracy. Just that it’s strange that a post not containing anything against the rules must be approved. Now I know it depends on its length.
I also waited 7 hours before reposting it. Now I also know that it’s not enough.
And a guy doing another work and not even payed for what he does here had to come to approve it (between: thank you). Which kinda confirm one of my points: not enough people from NI are working for Customer Care, here or at support, because NI doesn’t think this is one of their duties (after sell service).
When are we gonna start to understand that this is not a chat opened between a couple of friends to generally talk about gears but the forum of one of the biggest companies in the industry?

I don't wanna make this a big deal because it's not, it's fine but I am just saying, don't always assume the worst, there's no censorship of opinions here other than the silly text cursing/swear auto thingy. 7 hours is very acceptable IMO.
IDk about all that but moderation applications are open to remedy the forum part.

Ok.
I will not answer to the NI not hiring people for Customer Care but looking for free work from users part just because I respect you too much…

This is a pretty baffling decision to me. By limiting the user to the browser view and not having any way of getting at the plugin itself, that means that you're *only* able to use presets without modifying them for the needs of the project. Which means, for example, not being able to change your keyswitches. Is this really the decision Komplete Kontrol is going in?
This reinforces my decision to stick with the underlying Kontakt plugin for my actual use, and by doing that it means there's no integration with Komplete Kontrol hardware. So why would anyone bother to buy a Komplete Kontrol keyboard anymore?
Having to switch between different pieces of software in order to modify your instrument setup and then save a preset to load back in is quite the baffling disruption to the workflow.

Well, I can also not comprehend what's the reason behind that very counterproductive decision, but I already have my theory why it is like it is. I will lay it all down tomorrow.

@fluffy Did I miss something here? I thought @Matthew_NI said there's no plans to allow simultaneous browser and plugin view, not that there was only going to be browser view? I didn't see anything about removal of the plugin view?

I must be missing something in the UI, then. How the heck do you bring up the plugin view from the KK software?

I was having the opposite problem, in that after selecting a preset I was stuck on the preset browser page still. But that seems to have resolved itself, at least.
Well, my bad!

Yeah it's not that obvious from the icons until you figure them out. Kontakt is better, although for some reason clicking the "Kontakt" name changes the library view rather than showing the about box like pretty much every other NI product. Hopefully at some point things will be consistent. Konsistent?

Yes, that has always been clear. You can either have the NKS preset view available, OR the plugin view, but not both at the same time (as it was still possible in KK2). That was the question I raised recently to NI once again and for which there was a clear answer that this will definitely NOT be supported anymore in the future.

Yep, that link was for fluffy as he didn't realize you could show the plugin view.

I don't think @Matthew_NI statement about "Simultaneous View" was as definite as you state.
Here's what he said:
This is not planned. We're going to continue to make investments in the new browser view.
"Not planned" is not same as "definitely not be supported anymore in the future."
Plans change.
