Writing current song to a file

Hi all, i know there a log files writing away which has all the songs which has be played in an xml format. I extract the file to get the playlist if the mix set.

But is there also a file which has always the current song which is playing. Or can we call it through an api call?

Ah thats need to adjust the broadcasting.. that i use for livesets.. so maybe there is another way?

Unbox reads it with the D2 screen .. interception. Or whatever you want to call it. https://github.com/erikrichardlarson/unbox

But it does not write to file. It creates a webserver.

Sadly I'm not able to get it work to write to a file. The one says it does but it doesn't the other doesn't work at all...
