Gate effect in kontakt

I'm trying to gate a bus. Multitrack drums. I tried the trick with routing the same audio to another bus, inverting, then compressing it, it somewhat works but it uses a lot of CPU and besides, I need more buses. Is there any workaround? (I can't deal with it on a sample or group level, I tried scripting the volume but it crackles and uses a loooot of CPU.) And why isn't there a gate in Kontakt? We are at version 7 already.
