    Progress. I was able to reinstall Native Access via an NI link. Installed and it now shows as V3.1 and has a black background. Low and behold all my loaded instruments now appear on the rack on the left, including Kontakt Factory Selection, Kontakt Factory selection Library and Kontact Factory Library 2. I also checked my hard drive and found everything in C>Users>Public>Public Documents. But, I still get "instrument belongs to a library that is not installed" message when i try to load them. So, I keep trying and hope there is something that will resolve the problem.

    Finally gave up trying all the suggested fixes after the 3rd attempt failed. That alone took almost 2 days. On the third day, decided to reformat my Mac system and reinstalled the operating system before then doing a clean install. Factory Library 2 ***STILL*** does not load and gives the "..not installed currently" error. Every other library works OK.

    This is beyond a joke.

    Yes, it is beyond a joke, the funny thing is that I just bought KFL2 for my new project. I would like to have a refund.

    The "fix" doesn't work for me either. Tried that a few times, to no avail. This is utterly pathetic.

    Kontakt 7 is the flagship of the latest Komplete and the FACTORY LIBRARY doesn't work. Unbelievable.

    Hopefully this will be fixed in a year or two, after everybody else has used those sounds to death. Is there a way to be partially reimbursed for Komplete? BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT FOR KONTAKT 7.

    Like so many others, I have tried every fix suggested to resolve the "not currently installed" error, including the "Workaround" put forth by Jeremy_NIDec 20, 2022:

    "Hey all, issue is still being investigated but we now have a workaround,

    For Windows user, here is how to fix it: ... "

    I followed those directions to the letter, and no success, the error still persists.

    This is utterly frustrating, just having upgraded to Kontakt 7 mostly for the Factory Library 2. No matter what I attempt, the dreaded " ... not installed currently" error persists when trying to load anything from that library. I have tried installing from Native Access as well as getting the iso file and installing from that.

    Every other library I have loads perfectly, it's only Factory Library 2 that is the problem. What does one have to do to get some action from NI ???

    I just completed a support ticket and replying with the results of the scan requested attached. Here's hoping that NI will take this issue seriously and get it fixed!

    Have a look at these posts depending upon whether you are Windows or Mac user. I found the Windows post which gave me some ideas. Once I managed to figure out how to change the Plist files on a Mac and by using Bob's HU and JDX values, the factory library 2 opened properly in Kontakt.

    I'd spent 10 days before downloading different versions of NA and downloading the ISO with no luck.

    I got a solution from NI Support:

    The problem seems to be caused by a faulty Registry entry of the Kontakt Factory Library 2:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Native Instruments\Kontakt Factory Library 2]

    "HU"="EBF1709EED746817037A58398DA78BAD"

    "JDX"="06CD237BDDA24E444D7F7723AAA1C520E947D5C99BB6EDA62880A3A726851252"

    Those values should look like this:

    "HU"="B912447ABDAED32DA2290A518813BB32"

    "JDX"="363F9CF471EB332719F296BD130100E60B72592BF1DA4B869A74DCD650FF5BF5"

    I have created this little attached file which will replace the faulty values with the correct ones when carried out.

    Simply download and unzip it first.

    On my system it was enough to double-click it and after I agreed to the pop up informing me about the Registry getting edited, they got updated.

    Alternatively, if you are familiar with the Registry you could also replace the faulty HU and JDX values manually.

    OK, so credit where credit is due. I put in a support request on Friday and had an email response this morning. They sent me a fix (which is basically just a simple plist file substitution) which has solved the "... not installed currently" issue for me.

    It was a shame that this happened at all of course, but in reality they solved my problem within 24 working hours. I am over the moon now and am very satisfied with the response of Native Instruments.

    For anyone left with this issue, please contact support and they will sort you out quickly I am sure.

    Regards everyone,

    Dean

    WOO-HOO! I will vouch for the registry fix link, as posted earlier today by StianDH. Follow the download instructions and KFL2 should load normally. Also, a huge thank you for contacting NI. I only wish they had gotten the word out publicly soon as a solution was made known.
