Cycling through switch entries with an XY device

Hello!

Id like to be able to cycle through the inputs of a switch with a xy pad (or maybe a mouse area if needed)

Its essential for me to be able to store the value of the switch in snapshots.

and also it's essential for me to use a switch because afaik a switch is the only selector type of device that will deactivate all unused ports, thus saving cpu.

Is this possible? Thank you in advance.
