locate or relocate NI content

With all the ongoing issues regarding Native Access I ran into a secondary issue. My NI content is on an external drive. However, during one of the updates I didn't notice my preferences were defaulted back to original directory settings. I updated multiple instruments (don't know how many) which seemingly installed some on my computer and not the SSD I use. Is there a way to locate them and put them all back on the SSD like it was before?
Thanks in advance!

I ran into this issue as well and I just make sure to double check each time that the installation path points to my HDD. I would like to know how WHY the user set path defaults to a C: path at random.

@dexl That can happen after a Native Access update. Also check that you run Native Access as admin: How to Run a Program as an Administrator
