Maschine+ compatible audio interfaces thread

I know, it's very frustrating - especially knowing that they have it (internally) but just haven't released it, after all this time. I don't hold out much hope to see it now that xmas is around the corner, because probably half the staff are on holiday…
…but hey, they say it's "coming soon" 🤣

Has anyone tried using a Roland TR-8s as an audio interface for the Maschine+?

Haven’t tested but almost certainly not possible, because Roland devices are not class-compliant, requiring a proprietary driver for USB MIDI and audio communication.

The new zoom livetrack L-6 looks tempting

Given other zoom usb audio interfaces/mixer work, there is a high chance this one also work, I guess. The only different thing, is that the recording settings are locked at 32Bit/48kHz.
Maschine+ can handle 48kHz (take that MPC users :P ) , but does anyone thinks that 32bitfloat could be a problem?1 -
I have both and can check for you. I'll report back.

The upcoming Maschine+ firmware is supposed to offer adjustable sample rates etc. for compatibility with more audio interfaces. Whether it'll go to 32 bit is unknown, as there's still no sign of it.

I would test it anyway. Even if I suspect too that Roland stuff won’t work, It could give surprising results.
Maschine, e.g., is not class compliant but its internal audio interface is.

AWESOME !!!! Thanks.
You might need to upgrade your firmware. For what I could read online, there was some sort of bug and multitrack recording on iPad/DAW was not working properly.
Zoom also released a new set of instructions for multitrack record to work properly:

Alright so it actually works pretty well. Some notes
Channels 1 & 2 are the master outs, don't send this back to the device or you'll get feedback.
3&4 are the mic/instrument channels and so on.
The zoom has to use a computer return channel so I used track six which is output 3 & 4. This channel was essentially the only one I routed to the outputs via the level knob, though I guess you could route others for parallel processing.
The reported latency was 8.1ms or .6ms faster than the internal interface.
I was powering the device with the Maschine+ USB port and had no issues. I was even powering the M+ off a power bank and was only drawing about 10w.
One of the best ones I've tested right up there with the Behringer UMC1820, no hiss, no distortion, no sync issues. I had one crash but that was while loading a project, which could have just been the M+ crashing.
Hope this helps guys.

AWESOME! Thanks for taking the time!
One more question: If channels 1&2 are the master outs, and you have to use a computer return channel, and given the Maschine+ only displays and makes available 4 stereo channels (or 8 mono); doesn’t this means you lose a bunch of inputs?

The interface channels 1 & 2 are Master outs from the mixer. Interface channels 3-12 are the inputs on the mixer. In my case I ran inputs 3-10 as Maschine inputs 1-8 and sent the machine outputs to interface outs 3 & 4 which is 6(st) on the mixer.
Hope that clarifies it a bit.
