@wsalembi Let's try this way (and in that exact order):
- Delete the FM8 component from it's folder: Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components
- Open Mainstage
- Close Mainstage
- Make sure that Mainstage has Full Disk Access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
- Reinstall FM8 in Native Access
- Open Mainstage
Did that work out?

What is your operating system ? Have you tried to open FM8 in standalone ? Is it working there?
Have you tried reinstalling it?

I'm using MacOS Big Sur 11.3.1. The plugin works but Mainstage gives the error at startup and adds the instrument to the AU Instruments -> Incompatible folder.

Do you have a M1 computer or is it an Intel? If it's a M1 you need to run Mainstage in Rosetta mode: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

Hi @Jeremy_NI , It is an INTEL i7 Mac Pro from 2017. You don't recognize this AU validation error?
