Sudden revert to factory settings, "it's your first time using Traktor"

Sigh. I'm fed up with its faults now.

So, just fired up my PC and Traktor only to be met with a splash screen telling me it's my first time using Traktor and all my preferences and playlists - THE LOT - have gone.

It was working fine last time I used it, and it shut down normally.

What the … ?

Anyone had anything similar and is there any way to get my preferences back?

I'm only a bedroom DJ but this, the blurry waveform issue, and random crashes are very irritating and time consuming. No way would I use this if I were a professional DJ at actual paid gigs.

As you can tell - I'm rather pee'd off !

UPDATE

Had a look in the folder Backup > Settings. The file size for the settings saved last time I used Tracktor is ZERO bytes. That suggests a fault saving the settings last time I exited, then.

Was able to import an older backup of settings which has restored the settings. Playlists are gone though (not so important).
