I have the KOMPLETE KONTROL M32, and I would like to know if I can modify the keyboard mapping to trigger instrument effects originally assigned to keys outside the range of my 32 available keys on the controller.
Thank you!
Hello,
you can shift the keyboard octave down or up button (over the touch strips), so that way you can play all notes available via midi.
Thank you Uwe,
The other day I was using the Strummed Guitar instrument, and when I shifted to the lowest octave to trigger a single strum to end a song section, I had to shift the octave up in order to keep recording the regular strums again. So, my question is, can I rearrange the keyboard mapping to accommodate the keys I need within the limitation of my controller (32 keyboard)? Or, if I need to have all the triggers available at once, do I need to get an 81-keys controller?
I could be wrong, but you might be able to edit the keyboard mapping and shift everything up or at least the mode triggers(official term escapes me) if you put Kontakt in edit mode.
you can do that by clicking on "ksp" in the upper right, add the "change keys preset under "factory/transform". Then you can shift the notes as you need them, you maybe have to play a bit around with it to fit exactly your needs.
