EQ malfunction

Issues with EQ Low Knob and Freezing in Traktor Pro 4

Dear Native Instruments Support,

I am experiencing some issues with Traktor Pro 4 while using my Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3.

Firstly, on one of the channels, when I turn down the Low EQ knob below -50%, the bass starts to gradually increase on its own, even though I am not making any adjustments. This behavior only occurs on one channel, and it makes mixing quite difficult. I have already tested it multiple times and the issue is consistent.

Secondly, the program sometimes freezes when I load a track. When this happens, I need to restart my computer, because when I try to reopen Traktor it shows the message that the program is already running.

Could you please advise me on how to resolve these problems? Should I try resetting the mapping, reinstalling Traktor, or could this possibly be a hardware-related issue with the controller?

A) Maybe the hardware knob has a contact issue and needs to be cleaned. You can test by using the mouse to adjust the low eq while the s4 is not connected. If it works all right (not moving on it's own), it's your hardware. You can also recalibrate your eq's and see if that helps. (Preferences→S4MK3 panel).

B) Where are the tracks located (physically)? If there is a USB connection, make sure windows doesn't have the permission to power down the internal hubs as an energy saving measure. Go to device manager and right click on all USB hubs then uncheck the permission to power down.

A)when the s4 mk3 is not connected the low knob is not moving ; I have try everything to solve this problem and it cause me difficulty to mix because I am dj and I get paid for doing this so I want to be as much professional as I can be . What can I do now if the problem is my hardware ? ( I also recalibrate all my knobs yesterday and I still have the same response ) Do you thing that it can be the cable that is connected to my laptop ?

B) I am playing with Hard drive and to be honest I haven’t see if I have this on , so I will check it right on

I would try to clean it with DeoxIT® Fader spray.

I have appointment to clean my S4 on monday ; I hope it helps because I am working as a beach bar dj and I am afraid of the sand !

Search your system for 'devmgmt'.

This is what it looks like in german on Win10.

Uncheck this box for every USB Hub.

I did it, as you told me to do . I uncheck everything you said and now my laptop cannot shut down the usb hub . Do I have to do something else ?

Find out. Test and test. See if the hang-up still happens when loading new tracks, again and again.
