Hi everyone,
I’d love to see waveform previews directly in the track browser/library, similar to how it works in Rekordbox.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Being able to visually browse waveforms would make it much faster to identify breakdowns, drops, intros, and outros – especially in large libraries or during prep. Sometimes BPM and cue points aren’t enough; seeing the waveform gives a quick idea of the track’s energy flow.
📋 Example features:
- A small, horizontal waveform preview next to or under each track title in the browser.
- Option to enable/disable it in layout settings for performance purposes.
- Optional: Hovering could show cue points or even play a short preview.
🎯 Bonus use cases:
- Spotting double drops, quiet intros, or sudden build-ups just by scrolling.
- Great for DJs who play open format, DnB, trap, etc. where energy mapping matters.
This would be a huge time-saver and help Traktor catch up with other modern DJ software in terms of track preparation and live performance flexibility.
What do you think? Would love to hear others' thoughts or +1s!
