Is the Retrigger/Legato function in the stock AHDSR bugged?

The AHDSR controlling the volume seems to not be working as described in the info tab. When Retrigger is disengaged it should "keep its current position until the last note has been released" However whenever you play more than one note in this mode, releasing ANY note, regardless of the order in which it was played, makes ALL notes stop. I would expect the notes that are still being held to continue to sound until the last one has been released. Am I missing something or is the feature bugged?
BTW this also happens in K8.5.1 player

Never used this, but have always assumed it means that instead of starting anew, it applies itself to each new note at the current envelope position so they all share the same envelope. So what you're describing might be what is expected.

Hello,

you want some kind of paraphonic behaviour, if i understand you correctly, so you count all note on signals, start envelope only on the first one and if note on count minus note off count is 0 you go into the release phase of the envelope and after the release phase you are ready to start all over with the first note on? Unfortunately i can´t script even if it´s maybe not that hard in ksp to do. A different kind of a latch script if you will.
