Please see the video. Thx!
Hey @CakeAlexS FYI, the bug was filed under the reference (MAS2-30433) and forwarded to the devs.
perhaps i have misread this post"e by Jeremy…
i actually hunted for this quote using the search..(becos i remembered the little detail about the maschine Jam)
but upon seeing another quote by another NI rep which is likely the newer…there is a contradiction of sorts… either that, or i misread the context in which the earlier quote was given.
here is the other quote (which suggest support is still there)
https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/37381/ending-software-support-for-some-earlier-generations-of-maschine#latest
i suppose the question is…
does support = development
This hasn't been reported yet. It's a good idea to get in touch with support. Please give as much info as possible regarding your setup, version of Windows, graphic card, if the drivers for the graphic card up to date, if you can reproduce the issue with only one monitor, etc…
Just to confiem, Maschine Jam is still supported in Maschine 3.
Maschine Jam is still supported but since it is discontinued it is not developed anymore, there wont be new features.
thanks Jeremy i was curiously awaiting a reply from yourself…
but could you further clarify,
if for example a feature request was made with regard to changes being made inside the "controller editor" which has a direct tie with the way MaschineJam's midi mode is implemented…
** edit: Maschine Jams interaction is interconnected with Maschine 3 & controller editor via Maschine Jams midi mode
would that be considered in anyway?? or are all aspects of maschine Jam and related applications… all cut off at the legs.. so to speak
So Maschine Jam bugs will be fixed I hope.
If there are any windows users who can validate this, that will be great. I will supply more feedback feedback when I can. Thx
I doubt the bug, if it is a bug, would be an issue with the hardware itself but most probably coming from the software side. Maybe I missed it but it seems you didn't mention what version of the Maschine software you were using. Maschine 2 is discontinued, only Maschine 3 is still developed.
No development means no development, no new features. Functionality is maintained and ported to the latest version of the Maschine software.
thanks for clarifying!!
It's 3.2 (Windows 11).
Ok also some info about your graphic card, monitors, display settings, graphic card drivers being up to date or not would also be valuable for support or other users trying to reproduce this issue.
Hello I've updated my signature (any chance the forum template can be updated to show signatures on mobile devices please?).
Windows 11 fully up to date and latest drivers everywhere from manufacturers websites.
Reduced myself down to one monitor (disabled the others).
Tested 3840 x 2160 at 150% scale (which is my recommended monitor settings, text/icons are way too small otherwise). Issue reproduced. This time the window disappeared after I had pressed the browse button 3 times.
Tested 3840 x 2160 at 100% scale (restarted Maschine software). Behaves as expected. So it looks like scaling is the issue here, app codes needs to compensate for this scenario.
As an enhancement request it would be nice to have an "X" button to close this Window via a mouse (ALT-F4 works however). Note this window is it's own separate entity, if I press "Browse" right now it will appear over the web browser where I'm typing right now. I guess that could be desirable so it can appears on a separate monitor in a multi-monitor setup (that is assuming it will stay in the same position), but it would also be nice to have this window appear as a child window inside the Maschine app only (guess that would be an optional setting), I think the latter is better default behaviour (debatable I'm sure).
Thanks.
Thanks for all the details, that's really helpful, I'll forward this as well as your videos to our devs & QA.
Yeah sorry I should have been more specific on the first place. I'm getting better I think (it's just been time).
I know exactly what I should be doing considering I used to QA test software, I've just been lazy I guess.
