Hello everyone,
I’ve searched the internet for a solution, and although there are some topics on various forums, none have provided a valid fix.
I purchased a second-hand M2 SK3 controller and I'm trying to get it working. Below are the steps I've already completed:
- License transfer: OK
- Installed Native Access
- Installed Traktor PRO 3
- Manually installed the driver "Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 ASIO Driver 5.2.0 - Win": OK
- Attempted to run "Firmware Updater for Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 1.4.0 Win": FAILED ⇒ Even though the S2 MK3 is connected, it’s not detected by the firmware updater.
Despite all of this, the controller is still not recognized by Traktor PRO 3 (nothing appears under the "Controller Manager", the S2 MK3 is not listed!).
Also, there is no trace of the USB connection in the device manager under USB - audio - video - game controllers ⇒ no S2 MK3 listed.
When plugged in, the S2 MK3 lights up briefly, then turns off after about 3 seconds.
Then I proceeded with:
- Uninstalled Native Access and Traktor PRO 3
- Reinstalled Native Access, Traktor, and Controller Editor
- Tested the USB cable with another device: OK
Still nothing...
I also followed the two guides from this page:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/fr/articles/4410096148113-Mon-produit-de-Native-Instruments-n-est-pas-reconnu-par-mon-ordinateur
To clarify:
- NIHardwareAgent is running
- NIHostIntegrationAgent does not appear in the task manager!
My conclusion:
- Could it be a USB port issue? But then, why does the S2 light up?
- Could it be a firmware issue that I can’t update ? (since the firmware updater doesn’t recognize the controller when connected)
For your information: the previous owner used it normally up until a Traktor PRO 3 update.
Thanks in advance for your help!!
