Komplete Kontrol 3.4.0 fails to scan VSTs

Hangs scanning plugins (since update to 3.4.0) in standalone mode.

Different plugin each time. Has to be killed using Task Manager.

Tried the DB deletion and rebuild suggestion by support but as yet it has not managed to rebuild the DB.

Needs an update to generate more error detail to get around this problem.

Right now KK is unusable.

    Further info from Win Logs:

    The program Komplete Kontrol.exe version 3.4.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

    Upgraded and ran again, even tried running as administrator.

    The plugin counter is useful, but it fails just after completing the last one. (1385/1385). Might be useful to have a plugin scan log in the Browser Data folder as it scans?

    Logs show same kinds of errors and lots of plugin scan crashes (I'm guessing there is some threading going on in the scanning).

    I found the crashdump for it if there is somewhere to send it in case this helps to debug the issue.

    It still doesn't work. After a full plugin rescan, I don't see any VST2 plugins, apart from the Native Instruments ones, and, it doesn't show any third party NKS plugins in the browser either.

    Come on people. Get your act together.

    That is clearly an isolated issue, as we're not seeing other reports of this at this point. I'd suggest reaching out to support, or @Jeremy_NI to troubleshoot further.

    Correction: I checked again, and, actually, it shows Arturia, and Plugin Alliance plugins in the browser, but, it doesn't show Waldorf plugins (e.g. Largo and Largo 2). And, it doesn't let me choose any VST2 plugins for the instrument plugin, see the screenshot.

    This is on Windows 11.

    In my case Komplete Kontrol (standalone) starts, scans and crashes (ie dies completely) following a Windows update yesterday. Prior to that it would scan all plugins and just hang with the splash screen. Now it crashes and leaves a crash dump. Checking the crash dump doesn't say much, just that 'program.sys' faulted.

    After updating Komplete Kontrol to 3.4.1, scanning of plugins stops and crashes at last plugin, in my case - u-he Zebra reverb. Removed the plugin and KK crashes on what is now the last one on the list and this continues no matter how many plugins I remove! Uninstall, reinstall, delete preferences and still the same. Installed KK version 3.1.0, and everything's fine. Haven't been able to find an installer for KK vr. 3.3.xxx.
