Opening Logic Projects made with Komplete 9 on Sequoia

Hi,

I just got a new Mac Mini and when I open Logic Pro 11 some of my Komplete 9 plugins ( Guitar Rig and Kontakt ) open in demo mode. I haven't actually tried to open a project yet out of fears of the impact it could have on my projects but my questions are:

  1. Will my projects created with Komplete 9 plugins open and operate as normal in Logic Pro 11 on Osx Sequoia?
  2. If I upgrade to Komplete 15 will my projects made with Komplete 9 plugins open and operate as normal with the upgraded versions of the plugins?
  3. Is there any other solution for opening Komplete 9 plugins on OSx Sequoia through Logic Pro 11?

Thanks in advance,

"Probably" not. Those would never have been tested - but I think your issue is authorization and not actual operation - if you opened them to the point where you see "demo" - that is actually a good thing

    2. If I upgrade to Komplete 15 will my projects made with Komplete 9 plugins open and operate as normal with the upgraded versions of the plugins?

Maybe Kontakt might work as Logic has auto-migration. But GR? Have no idea.

I think there is something else happening here if you see "demo" - vs nothing opening at all. There are a ton of threads on here about how to fix demo mode. Give it a search.

AND - there are a number of settings on Sequoia that must be addressed before any plugins or apps (like Native Access 3.17.0) will work. I am not a Mac user but theses thread are everywhere here too. Like allowing NTKDaemon access to the Network etc.

If you get to a point where you do not know where to go next - NI Support is your next stop. But do understand that Komplete 9 is unsupported as is Kontakt 5 and GR5 - your options maybe limited.

First of all, if your prrojects were made on an Intel Mac you'll alwas need to open these projects in Rosetta mode: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta

For Kontakt, there is an automigration system for Logic: Notes about Auto-Migration of Kontakt Versions in DAW Projects

Other plug-ins will probably work if you install the latest version you find in Native Access. Please check this compatibility article as well: Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on macOS
