Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 being detected by Traktor Pro 4 but does not work

Hi,

This is my first NI device, I apologize if I'm asking a question that's too obvious / too easy to solve.

I have the Traktor Pro 4 and I have connected for the first time my S4 MK3 to my desktop computer (not a laptop), directly into the motherboard's USB 2.0 port in the back. Then I switched on the unit and all the lights turned on (like a kind of test) and then they turned all off, except the two displays and the top "Line" leds. Then, my Windows 10 has automatically installed the driver for the S4. The attached image shows how the unit looked after these steps.

Then, I opened Traktor Pro 4 and the S4 MK3 is detected in the audio setup window, as shown in the image below. Clicking on the settings button opens the S4 MK3 control panel where I can see that the unit is detected and that everything's ok (apparently).

However, nothing works (buttons, functionalities) and the unit stays "freezed" like this no matter what I do. I feel like something's missing, some setting, step or configuration… I have disconnected the controller from the computer and connected it again using the provided USB cable, restarted the computer and Traktor Pro 4 and nothing helps. What am I missing here? I believe this is not the normal behavior of the controller.

    After more than one hour of searching about this problem, I have found the solution and successfully solved the problem.

    If you are reading this and this is happening to you, you must ensure that both NI's services (on services.msc on Windows) are running and automatic.

    If these services are not running, just like the image above says, hardware will not be detected at all. If you don't even have these services on the services list, you must install the Controller Editor. These services come with it and will be automatically configured during its installing process.

    In my case, I had to reinstall Controller Editor because these services were not running and I couldn't get them to work manually. I have tested the S4 MK3 and now, after opening Traktor Pro 4, it is instantly recognized and all functionalities are ok
