Switching from song mode to ideas mode ?

It seems that now that I am in the song mode, the button to switch back to ideas mode is struck through and I can't switch it either on the computer, OR using the MK3 controller in the arranger/ shift/ ideas or songs buttons OR in the controller using shift/navigate/ ideas or songs.. the song is named weird1, appropriately

I searched the community trying to find an answer to the problem of being unable to return to ideas mode with no luck in finding an answer. After trying a few times I noticed that it didn’t play either. I then searched the term about not playing. Someone suggested that I had an incorrect audio input/output. I corrected that and everything worked correctly. Everything works perfectly now.

The "strike through" is part of the normal icon for that button, it's not disabled or anything like that. You should be able to click it using the mouse. Can you change the mode on the View menu?

Yes, that’s the basic thing to watch when the hw and the interface is unresponsive. If even pushing play doesn’t make anything, 90% of the times is good practice to check if the audio interface is set up correctly.

The fact that the whole program becomes unresponsive really sounds like a bug…but it is what it is and waiting for it to be fixed after so many years is useless.

Out of curiosity: are you on Maschine 3? It would be nice to know if they ported that old bug also in the new version..

Maschine 3. I think that it was a matter of me switching on my audio interface a little too late after booting. this made Maschine audio input/ output go somewhere else.
