Unable to see any presets?

Hi,
I downloaded the demo version of Massive to test some .nmsv presets. In my DAW (Reason), Massive shows up as an available plugin, but I can’t see any presets beyond the default initial patch. I also can’t browse to the .nmsv files to load them from within the DAW.

So, I decided to open the synth standalone to investigate. In standalone mode, I can see the factory presets and browse to the .nmsv files I downloaded. However, whether I select a factory preset or one of my downloaded presets, the sound doesn’t change—it just stays on the default patch. I see the synth settings change, but no change in the sound whatsoever.

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this?

Thank you!

How To Load An Expansion Preset In Massive

When on Mac the the most basic N.I. prerequisite is that you have done the Mac must do :

You might also want to give your DAW Reason full disk -access.

Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

Also general Mac check list :

ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on mac OS

Disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats Also then please check that iCloud Private Relay has been turned off : Native Access Error Message: "Download failed" (macOS)

Also then do not use Clean My Mac.

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

    Hello,

Thanks for the response. Still having issues after doing the above. See screenshot showing full disk access. The location I'm browsing to in reason has all of the presets, but the DAW is showing no compatible files in the folder.

I was able to get the synth working by itself, just can't use it in the DAW. Is this perhaps a limitation of the demo?

    Thank you.

@BenjaminWJensen I'm a little confused here. It looks like you are trying to load the Massive plug-in presets only with your DAW. You need to load the plug-in GUI and change your presets there, exactly in the same way as for the standalone Massive.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for the reply.

I've closed Reason, loaded up Massive with my desired preset, then lauched reason and added the massive plugin. Reason is playing the default patch, while the Massive Plugin is playing the proper preset at the same time.

    Thanks.

Sorry if this wasn't clearer. No need to have the standaloine Massive open. What you need to do is to open the GUI of the Massive plug-in when it's loaded inside your DAW and then load the preset from the Massive plug-in GUI. Please refer to Reason's manyual and resource on how to deal with third party plug-ins.
