Traktor Audio 4 DJ Setup options

Hi Everyone,

I've found an Audio 4 DJ soundcard for sale locally.

I have two turntables, and an omnitronic trm202 mixer. The setup works great for playing vinyl, but i'd love to use the mixer and turntables with traktor and play DVS, potentially with an x1 alongside for FX control. Would the audio 4 have the neccessary I/O connectivity to use two dvs turntables + x1 controller with my Mixer? If so, can you explain how the setup would be routed?

From what I can tell, it should - but I wanted to ask you knowledgeable folks first before pulling the trigger!

Hello @plinden1 .

First of all: I wouldn't recommend getting an Audio 4DJ (or Audio 8DJ) anymore. Both devices are old and support is limited by now. If you use a modern Mac (something with macOS 10.14 or newer) it won't work with your computer. There are no compatible drivers. On Windows it should still work but only because you can still install old drivers on Windows 11 - there is no official support anymore and drivers won't be updated if they break.

Apart from this: As your TRM-202 is a 2-channel mixer an Audio 4DJ should be fine. You can change between DVS control, live input and internal playback in Traktor in a running session. What won't work this way: Using all four Traktor decks at the same time.

I would also try to find a A6, they are more modern.
