Which USB HUB for Maschine + ?

Hi all,

On my Maschine +, I MIDI connected a synth and a mixer on the USB ports. In other words, I use the M+ as Host. I will be receiving soon a second hardware synth and as I already use both USB ports available, I was thinking of purchasing a USB hub. But, I read here and there, that it is not always that straightforward, and often things don't work smoothly, and this even with a powered USB hub.

Anyone has had experience using a USB Hub to connect multiple synth on the M+? If so, any advice on which USB hub to purchase (I am located in Europe).

honestly, I would skip the usb idea altogether. Use the regular midi out jack, and get yourself a Retrokits RK-006. I have one and I absolutely love it

If you are going to use a USB hub, use a good powered MTT hub, MTT allows you to have differing USB versions in the same chain without it limiting to the slowest in the chain.

Bear in mind I only use DIN MIDI for sending/receiving MIDI data, not USB MIDI (which has no ground hygiene and is generally less robust than traditional DIN MIDI).

I am connecting my Native Audio 6 MKII and Maschine Jam to this hub, leaving one port free (for thumb drives etc). This hub should also enable ethernet-based ableton link usage, but so far I've not needed to use it so havent tested it personally..
