I have a new MacBook Pro 2024 with Apple M4 Pro and 24 Gb Ram, 1tb SSD. As soon as I connect the external hard disk (2tb SSD, 800 gb used), the tracks are scanned or analyzed and this data is loaded into the Mac's memory. Without this, the search function in Traktor does not work. I have now let the Mac load the tracks for 2 days, this also worked well. Now that this step has been completed, the tracks are analyzed again and loaded into the memory until the following error message appears at some point and the Mac crashes. This also happened while I was deejaying on a booking. The complete Computer crashes .I never had these problems with my MacBook Pro from 2012. Identical hard disk and identical hardware. I have now updated from Traktor 3 to 4 in the hope that it was a bug, but unfortunately not.

I don't understand why your data is loading into the memory. This is maybe the problem why Traktor crashes.

Can you share a screenshot of your "File Management" settings in Traktor.

Did you follow these instructions :

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/de/articles/209590429-%C3%9Cbertragung-der-Traktor-Collection-Playlists-und-Settings-von-einem-Computer-auf-einen-anderen

    Is Traktor running under Rosetta?

Do you understand this setting : Import Music-Folders at startup?

Before you execute TP4 you should connect your external Drive first and wait until the drive is recognized.

yes, this is also my opinion, i don‘t understand why. It is a new mac book with no other software or data on it. Only NI Access, Traktor 4 Pro.

also when you go into a folder on the drive it loads the data into the memory, so the used memory increases and increased and then at a point it crashes when the memory is full.

I think this is not a Traktor issue. In case that this is a double post and Martiniix is involved we can stop here…
