Good eveningI would like to buy a new Macbook after 11 years. I'm leaning towards the Macbook Air M2. Do you have any experience with USB-C hubs? I need 3 USB A ports for 3 devices. X1 MK2 F1 Tractor Audio 6 To bypass the interface, I would also use an internal interface to the Pioneer A9 or Xone 92. Is it advisable to use a USBC to USBA cable or a USBA to USBA cable with an adapter?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards from East Saxony

I will suggest a USB C Hub, such as Orico 7-Port USB C 3.2 Gen 2 Hub, which has a total of 10Gbps bandwidth data transfer. It is powered by external power adapter so you will not encounter power issues on your USB devices such as SSD drives, etc. Since this particular model comes with 4 USB Type A ports, it will be sufficient for your current needs. Also, the 2 USB Type C ports can be used to connect external SSDs such as Samsung T7 portable drive. (It seems that the 0.5m cable version to computer is more expensive than the 1m cable version, but the norm for data cable is the shorter the better.)

Xone 92 does NOT have a build in interface, only the Xone 96!

I don't have a mac book, but I use a USB B to USB C cable for that. The C in to the computer, the B into the Xone.

Never used the A9, but from pictures it looks like it has USB C AND USB B connectors. Not A.

I prefer to connect the mixer/audio interface directly and the controllers through a hub, but that might just be me.
