Having problems with Kontack 8 when locating Sound Libraries

Hello, my name is Ashby, excited to join the community!

I hope someone can help me with problem that I've been trying to figure out for the past 3 days.

So, when I am using the Classic View in Kontakt 8, instruments show up without any problems, and am able to double click to load instruments as meant to be. Now, when I switch to the New Kontakt 8 View, instruments are no longer available. When I double click on a instrument, only one loads in is Vintage Organs 8x10 which is shown in the image. It's almost like it is stuck on that instrument. I have uninstalled, trashed folders, created new paths and even uninstalled CleanMyMac as I read could give NI complications. I don't know what else I can do or what I am missing here.

Yes I can still use Kontakt 8 in Classic View which is better than nothing but I am not able to add 3rd party plugins to my Browser, which is very useful and allows me to work faster.

Appreciate the time and advice!

Sorry if this comes a bit late:

    To fix this,

Close Kontakt 7/8, close your DAW.

    Navigate to

    Mac:

    Macintosh HD//Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 7 (or Kontakt8)

    Win:

    \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Kontakt7

(Remember it’s the user library, not the local one)

Rename the komplete.db3 file to Old_komplete.db3 for example.

Open Kontakt 7/8 in standalone, wait for a little while that the db3 file gets re-written

If you have used CleanMyMac then you might have to reinstall your products. I do not have a Mac myself so I am not entirely sure of it all but read e.g. the do not use Clean My Mac discussion.

After reinstalling products then you might have to both reset the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access and reinitialize the KONTAKT Database , in that order. (Kontakt gets some of it's information from Native Access)

Also , a bit confusing that your text is about Kontakt 8 and pictures show Kontakt 7.

Hey Poorfellow, thanks for the response and the links, I will definitely check them out.

Kontakt 7 and 8 seem basically the same, when trying to fix the problem in Kontakt 8, which didn't work, I switched over to Kontakt 7 and tried the same method, which I took the screen grabs from. Basically they both have the same problem.
