Kontakt 7 Player was Free. Kontakt 7 Full was not free. Kontakt 7 is also not longer available.

You will need Kontakt 8 now - which also comes in a Player and Full product.

Ok so if I understand well, I installed kontakt 7 player already and all my plugins are purchased with licenses codes. They should work and not stop after 15 min of playback?

What exact libraries are you trying to use?

If you are getting a 15 min demo time only - that specific library is not supported by Kontakt Player.

When I load kontakt 7, the first thing that pop up is 3 choices to choose from, free version, paid version or a 3rd option that I don t remember. I did choose the free option. From that, I can load one of two paid plugins, strumming guitar from ni or another plugin from another companie. What I want to know is what happen with the free version restrictions, do I have to expect sound to cut after 15 minutes or is it free for running my plugins? I think that after buying those plugins it's just normal to have something free provided to run them. And I had to reinstall my kontakt player. Before reinstalling, the version I had didnt ask me to choose from different versions, it just run right away (can t remember which version I had). Why I have to chosse between free or paid version now? Maybe I installed the wrong application to run my pluging free?

    Sounds about right.

I believe all Kontakt libraries from NI will run fine (uninterrupted) within Kontakt Player. Many third party libraries do as well - they will be branded (on the vendor website) with a label/tag that says "Works With Kontakt Player" - something like this:

Conversely - others will require the Full version of Kontakt to run uninterrupted.

"I think that after buying those plugins it's just normal to have something free provided to run them"

That seems logical - however when you buy a third party library (Not from NI) - you are buying the library ONLY - not any ability to play them.

You are required to set up either Kontakt Player (Free) or Kontakt Full ($$$) via Native Access - so you can simply load your libraries into either app.

In order to solve this - it would be good to "see" exactly what you have in you NI acct by posting up a screencap or two of what you see inside Native Access.

I can tell you without question - that if you do not own Kontakt Full (299.00+) and only have Kontakt Player - you are not guaranteed to have smooth sailing for all libraries without possibility of Demo mode popping up.

Maybe your problem is that you are using more types of libraries , both licensed and not licensed ?

The Kontakt app has been designed by N.I. in a way so that if the developer of the Kontakt library choose to license the libraries (at a cost) then that sort of implies that the developer has made this a 'commercial' product intended for sale so by paying for the license then whoever the developer sells the product to do not have to pay to use. But if the developer decides that this is a free product (with no license fee paid to N.I.) then the user have to pay to use the free library by having to be using the full version of the Kontakt app. So if the developer pays for the license you don't have to pay to use the library and if the developer does not pay for a license for the library then you have to pay to use by having a full Kontakt version.

Sometimes for initialization of something then you have to run the Kontakt app as standalone once prior to using it in a DAW.

Otherwise then if you are sure that you are using only licensed libraries and you still get any Demo message problem from the Kontakt app then please contact N.I.Native Access and Installation Support .
