Maschine 3 freezes on startup plugin scan

Takes up to 10 minutes to scan Arturia "Wurly V3" and then freezes scanning "WavesShell1 VST 14.25". Task manager shows many "ni-plugin-info.exe" getting started simulaniously, last counted 10 instances. OS Windows 11. Pressing ESC, as stated in other post, does not work.

Ableton, Cubase, Reaper and Reason do not hang scanning these VSTs.

Does anybody have a hint?

you could try searching for the "scanapp.exe" file that exists in one of the maschine folders rename it to

"1scanapp.exe" and then try booting up( just remember to remove the 1 when wanting the scanapp.exe to do its thing

i dont know if the scanapp.exe is the actual name of the file…. but you will recognise it when you come across it… renaming it will prevent a scan taking place… that is how i would bypass the scan until i learnt of the "escape" method

    good luck!

That workaround did it! Thanks a lot!

Used in this case "ni-plugin-info.exe" I mentioned above. On Windows the file is located in folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Maschine 3."

Renamed to "1ni-plugin-info.exe". Opened Maschine 3 SW. Disabled VST2 plugins (don't need), renamed the *.exe back, hit rescan, works.
