I mean, even when he opens up to talk about what's going on with the company, he doesn't really reveal anything. I just heard an interview with Chris that was basically just vague corporate-speak which revealed nothing new about the future of the company…like we would be just as informed about the company's direction if he hadn't given the interview at all. It was a total nothingburger. It really cheeses me off that this company wastes to much time doing what ultimately amounts to nothing….the marketing videos with literal whos, these goofy interviews, the nontent workshops (polyrhythms with reaktor blocks!!!!!!), etc. Just spend the time, money, and effort making GOOD PRODUCTS and POLISHING EXISTING PRODUCTS instead of all the lifestyle ******.

For end users the priority is not partnership with other hardware manufacturers, but better integration with other plugin developers. @JesterMgee has done an amazing job developing NKS packs for third party plugins from Korg, Cherry, D16, UVI, IK and others, but it appears he gets little to no recognition or support from NI.

It's his work that has kept KK and NKS relevant for me and it's churlish for NI to ignore his efforts and expansion of functionality before launching into hardware support. If you want the NKS system to develop then it needs to become part of the default standard of VST3 plugins.

NI should be rewarding Jason and supporting his efforts to make the eco system work across multiple developers.

In short, it would be of much greater benefit if NI were working with developers instead of hardware manufacturers.

for clarity. Would we have to pay again for MPC versions of Play Series & Expansions that we already own?

Yes it certainly looks like we're expected to pay.

I can understand new MPC owning customers having to buy them, but for those of us who already bought the products (and are Maschine users), having to pay again so we can use them on another company's product when they're not available on ours leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

Expansions are mainly just WAVs anyway, so they can be copied over - and they're also cheaper as WAV only packs.

Interesting that NI are making moves to have their content work on other companies' platforms (which makes sense) yet can't be bothered to keep it working on their own hardware.

It's great that my S49 no longer works with Komplete Kontrol 3. Because now when I upgrade my hardware I can buy a non-NI product that does.

How can a hardware developer be in direct contact with Simon Cross?

@Matthew_NI What criteria determined that the MIDI keyboards should be supported? I ask this because I have an AKAI Advance 49, and I would love for it to have the NKS integration, but looking at the list, it seems to only include MIDI keyboards from the past five years.

Is there any hope that we could get in the action too?

Confused as to Nektar LX MK3? Unreleased or named incorrectly? Is this supposed to say LX 49+ or similar. Mentioned is not in Nektar product page?

I think this is going to be awesome. I've been with Native Instruments since Colossus and still use that library, I also use Akai controllers so I'm stoked about the partner program. Awesome!
