Do other dj controllers work with traktor 4 software

hi there my question is simple does traktor work with other branded controllers if so which ones is there a list anywhere as I can’t seem to locate it.

Traktor can be made to work with any controller that uses the midi protocol.

But it might not work out of the box because there might be no mapping. That's why there are 3rd party sites where you can share mappings:

There are also a limited amount of controller that don't use midi that work with traktor, such as the CDJs from pioneer.

If you like to scratch then get something that supports HID and not MIDI (there is a delay/offset with MIDI). Otherwise Traktor could even map tosters, as lonng as they send and receive MIDI.

hi there a friend of mine has the pioneer DDJ-FLX4 2 channel DJ controller and I didn’t see it in the list will this work at all with traktor just wondering…

There are 3rd party mapping for the FLX4, I can't say how well they work.

The FLX4 also unlocks Rekordbox btw. Any specific reason you want to use Traktor instead?

because traktor is much better and more stable software than rekordbox which is absolute rubbish software to be honest. I just wanted my mate to use something decent than rekordbox.to be honest I think he will only use the mixer part and not the pads so I don’t think the mapping will be an issue I was just curious to see if it will work because rekordbox is so buggy

I had the DDJ-400, the predecessor of the flx4. Rekordbox worked just fine, no bugs, plug 'n play. I would recommend to let him test it out.
