Your Maschine already has a built-in soundcard. You can f.e. cue the audio to your headphones, and record from the microphone into the Maschine.

Think you are assuming they have an MK3 Maschine which they have not stated, could have an MK2 or a Studio or a Micro. Also don't know what OS they are on, tho they mention they want to hear from their PC so assume Windows.
Well the audio interface you list is an option I guess, question would be do you really need that many IO ports for your application? Personally I tend to not consider Behringer interfaces tho I do use their amps and compressors. Their lower range interfaces did not offer dedicated ASIO drivers (instead wanting you to use Asio4All) so that was always a red flag. Reviews on that one seem decent but cannot say for sure what the latency would be like which is the main thing i'd be interested to know.
