Avid Pro Tools + Komplete Kontrol MIDI Controller not working

Hi guys,

I recently received my NI Kontrol S88 MK3. I now want to setup my Pro Tools (2024.10), but it's not working as it should.

When going to Peripherals > MIDI Controllers, I select "KompleteKontrol". Then it should automatically select the receiver and sender. This isn't the case. Also, when selecting "KONTROL S88 MK" it doesn't do anything.

I also tried it on #1, but that's also not working.

Sidenote: the midi-keyboard function in an Instrument Track does work. But that's not the intergration I'm looking for at this moment.

Can someone please help me out?

In the screenshots I see that there is another controller selected. Can you try with only the MK3 keyboard?

Please also try the following:

Close Pro Tools,

2. Press Windows () to open the start menu,

3. Type %appdata% and press OK,

4. Open the Avid folder, and delete the Pro Tools Prefs file

Open Pro Tools.

@Marciano Is everything functional in Komplete Kontrol in standalone? Do you run Komplete Kontrol and Pro Tools as admin? How to Run a Program as an Administrator

Also make sure that you set the keyboard to MIDI 1.0, Pro Tools does not support MIDI 1.0: How to Switch a Kontrol S-Series MK3 Keyboard to MIDI 1.0

The keyboard itself is working in Komplete Kontrole standalone. I don't run Pro Tools as admin, because some features will not work (like drag and drop clips from Windows into the session).

The keyboard is already set to MIDI 1.0 :-(

Well, that is rather strange, running as admin should fix any permission issue and allow you to drag and drop, not stopping it.
