Hello, Im having trouble setting up my Machine+ with my Roland FA-06 in a stand alone workflow. triggering sounds out of machine is working but i cant hear the sounds out of my keyboard. Not sure what im not doing right but if anybody can help that has this setup or the knowledge to get it working properly would be great. Thanks

Hello,
what exactly you want to do, play the keyboard and hear maschine sounds or the other way around. I found this and it maybe helps if you want to use maschine to trigger sounds of the 06, you just have to setup one pads midi out correctly:

Hello, thanks for your response! Yes you are spot on … I want to play my keyboard and hear my keyboard sounds! playing my keyboard to trigger machine sounds works great! I am able to plug everything into Machine+ and use Machine+ as an interface and it works great. I can play and hear my keyboard sounds or machine sounds no issue But, when I plug my Komplete Audio 6 interface into machine with Only the studio monitor plugged into the Komplete Audio 6 so that i can use the Audio 6 to control my monitors, I can not hear my Keyboard sounds come out the monitors But if i just want to control the machine sounds it works no problem. which is weird to me but i dont know if its the routing

Maybe connect the keyboard to the audio 6 too and use the direct monitoring function, so you basically mix maschine sounds with the keyboard sound coming from line in. Do you have the MK2 version of the audio 6?

I actually thought about that, and yes i do have the Mk2 version this would be my ideal setup as he uses a interface for only the monitors. "I like this setup: Maschine Plus & Roland Fantom 06 🔥" this is the title to video on youtube and he shows how his setup is which is what im going for, unfortunately this chat does let me post links

Then this should work that way, you only have to set the DAW/input mix knob around the middle so you hear maschine and the keyboard through the line ons via direct monitoring. Only don't route the keyboards audio through maschine then.

Hello, Fantom FA08 user here.
On the FA06:
- Set FA06 in DAW mode. This will set midi to Local OFF and the FA06 will basically become a 16 part multi timbral sound module like the Integra rack version. If you want to keep working on the FA in 'studio set' mode you will need to set Local Off in the system settings.
- Attach USB cable to Maschine Plus and put USB driver on FA06 in "Generic" mode in the system settings. Then MIDI wil go through USB and the M+ wil recognize the FA as a midi interface.
- Connect audio cables to M+ L-R input (or route audio via your Audio6).
- Set MIDI Sync to Slave when using presets that need midi clock for delay timings or ARP's.
On the M+
- Activate Fantom MIDI input in: Settings > MIDI Settings
- Set MIDI sync to 'Send Clock' when FA06 needs a clock.
- Activate the correct Audio L-R inputs in: Settings > Audio Settings
- Dedicate a Pad to the audio input by setting de Sound input to the Audio input where your FA08 is connected to. In my workflow Group H is always for external audio and Aux FX. I have a Reverb and Delay on Pad 1-2 getting feeds from Machines internal Aux sends 1 and 2. And Pad 3-8 is handling audio from my FA08 and other hardware synths. So in the Maschine's mixer view Group H is always for mixing aux and external audio.
- Dedicate Pads to the differend FA06 midi channels. In my template Group G is the Fantom. Pads 1-16 are routed to the FA08 midi channels 1-16 (Sound > Midi output).

Great explanation! I will give this a try today and give you an update! Thanks
