Accessing Logic file on two computers - with native instrument plug-ins

I want to be able to access the same Logic file from two mac computers (at different times). I have the NI plug ins on an external drive of same name. BUT the two mac computers have different local drive names.

Any tips?

Any specific files that are on the local drives that will muck up my effort?

    A normal install will put all the libraries on an external drive but leave the plugins/apps on the system drive. Is that what your setup is? If you've done that then you can move the external drive between systems and things should work ok.
