Sustain and expression pedal in KK S61
Has anyone found an easy way to install sustain and expression pedal in KK S61? I have tried following the Native instruments recipe, but I can't get it to work. I have also bought pedals that are supposed to be compatible. Thank you very much

Hello,
do you mean kk61mk3? And what pedals you exactly have bought?

Yes, kk61mk3.
MAudio Sp 2 and Maudio expressionpedal.

So you followed this:
But the pedals don't produce midi signals connected to the keyboard, are you sure that no midi is coming from the keyboard and the pedals. Maybe we start with one pedal then the other one. The sp2 needs to be connected to the sustain pedal connector. Then please open the settings of the sustain pedal connector and make a picture of the settings. Also using a midi monitor might help. Normally every DAW now has a tool like this.

Hi
Thank you.
I have tried this link, and now I only have my sustain pedal in the sustain input.

On page three is there set number to 65, if not try this, unfortunately you can't disable the ring contact. And this controller, like mine shorts sleeve and ring. Ohh and on page one set mode to switch.

Thank you again.
I can´t find page three, and it is not imposible to set the mode to switch. :-( Why is it so difficult? It´s just a sustain pedal?

On you picture on the screens right side you see 2/3 means page 2 of 3 pages available, you switch those pages with the 2 "arrow" buttons left from the screen. I guess it's not that easy cause there are also pedals with 2 switches using TRS instead of just TS, as I said then TR contacts get shorted, but native could have accounted for that in the software, and made things easier for sure, maybe they will in a future update, that you can at least deactivate the ring contact of you have a one switch TS pedal. And I have set the mode not to toggle I have set it to gate.

Hi again, I found page 1, 2 and 3, and could choose switch mode. Hurra, but I can´t choose sustain pedal like they do in the manual.

You are already on the sustain pedal page and set the tip contact to CC number 64, set now mode to gate, then all should be correct. Just set ring/page 3 to cc 65. At least this works for me.

And if this works, you have to use the 4 D encoder right from the screen to select the expression pedal (you see the selected input sus/exp/asgn1/asgn2) in the middle of the screen. It's not that easy in the beginning but once you've figured that out it's straight forward.

those are the settings for my sustain pedal, it should work for you as well.
expression pedal is a different thing, your m-audio has a second potentiometer like my pedal has too, i set it to minimum, then calibrated it. i then used a midi monitor in cubase, maybe you look that up for your daw, or kontakt can also be used as one, heel down should be 0 toe down should be 127 midi value (if it´s reversed set swap to the other setting), in my case cc11 but you can change that to your needs.
the midi monitor in kontakt you load by clicking the ksp button, then preset - factory - utilities - midi monitor, maybe you have to enable view - default view first to see the ksp button

Hi
Thank you again for helping me.I have no option to select the sustain pedal, as shown in your pictures. (I also don't have access to the arpeggiator)
I have checked that I have the latest update and am wondering if something could be wrong?

As I said on your first picture you are already on the sustain pedal page for the sustain pedal input, use the 4d encoder right from screen (tilt it left/right) to switch the inputs. Let us first concentrate on the pedals then the other stuff, just one by one.

I have tried to move the 4d encoder in all directions, but nothing is happening.

Mhh ok normally it should switch between the inputs and the settings of those, do you hear a click when you tilt the knob to the right for example? I try to later make a short video and load it up or link it here. As you can see on my pictures the first three show sustain marked in the middle and the last two show expression marked (grey background, on one of the four inputs). The arpeggiator is only available if you use komplete kontrol, but it might come into the hardware in a later update.
