i had most of the NI collectors not working due to native access 1 on older mac mini

I had a music rig that was pretty stable on my older 2013 macbook pro. i accidentally spilled water on it and had a back up mac mini. the files on my eternal drive (for the macbook pro) were working fine.

i've been trying to use my mac mini to make music now for a while. I installed native access 1 and there were a lot of updates. I checked the first few to see if they were ok. mostly everything was working.

today after updating most of my collectors edition like a huge amount of them are not compatible with my old mac. I can't seem to undo this whole thing and i just can't believe this is the result after effing around with NI stuff for years.

I don't think there's anything I can do now there's probably no way I can go back. I purchased a digital K13 and updated to K14. I wish i had the disks like I did with like komplete 4 (?). I just can't believe that you can only get the latest version and its hard to downgrade.

I'm so sad and frustrated now my maschine 2 rig is basically going to have errors, missing samples, and incompatible products forever. how could you guys do this to your customers its unbelievable :(

Hello, Have a look in the Kontakt Sub Forum and read "Previous Versions of recently updated Kontakt Libraries" (I cant paste links ATM). I think you might find yourself in the same boat many of us fell into when we mistakenly updated librariesa good while ago now. Theres links to older versions, on google drive, which personally I find is an ongoing nightmare. Count yourself very fortunate if you dont get told something like, 'theres too many people accessing this file…come back later,' or you get the latest version even though its supposed to be the old version. (case in point Picked Acoustic)

Yes, it does look like you've updated some Kontakt libraries and it broke compatibility with Kontakt 6. There is now a mention in the release notes of a library. If you are using older products and discontinued versions of Kontakt please check this before updating libraries.

Here you can find installers for previous versions of the said libraries:

Of course this is not the perfect solution. We're looking into improving this Kontakt library compatibility topic but it's quite a complicated one.

the mini is a late 2012, macOS high sierra, logic x. apple, arturia and others have a way of detecting the OS and not destroying the usability of their products. this must have been an intentional choice from the product team at some level and it hurts you're customers most that have been with NI the longest.
