2 sounds in a clip - only 1 exports

Hi,

I have a clip with 2 sounds in it. both play, but when I go to export, only one can be heard.

I can see on sound 2, there's a waveform behind the clip. I don't see this on sound 3.

What's the difference? Is this difference the reason why sound isn't exporting?

I see that one is a sampler (the one that doesn't export) and one is bounced audio (the one that does export)

I find it odd that the sampler doesn't export audio….

    Hello,

on the second pad/slot are only FX loaded so there is no sound on the two pads. Maybe you have routed something from the other group through the FX on pad two of the second group. So check all routings. As far as I can see it makes sense that you only export one sound. You can also easily test it with muting group one and then listen only to group two.

I'll test that next time I fire up Maschine. Thanks

I would not be that sure that Sound 3 (the one selected) has no sound. We see only Compressor and RC 48, but because everything is scrolled down (you can see it from the lateral bar).

You also say that when played you can hear the 2 sounds, and the small meters beside the sound name on pad 3 confirm it.

I would be more prone to think this has something to do with the export settings.

How are you even exporting? Through drag and drop or with the Export Audio in the scroll down menus? If it’s the latter, there are many configurations you can do there, like exporting ALL or Selected Scenes, but also the Source (which allows you exactly to say if you want the export to be at the Master, the Group or the Sound levels). If you select the Sound level, you should have another dropdown allowing to select or unselect which sounds to export

The waveform not being visible for Pad 3 is normal: being it a Sampler Module (differently from Sound 2 that is an Audio Module) it will show the midi note (the yellow rectangle you can see). In your case you recorded a note that is long the whole pattern.

If you want to see the waveform for the sample you loaded on that pad, go in the sample edit tab.

If you want and you find it more suitable for you, you can also transform the Sampler Module in an Audio Module and see the waveform in the piano roll like for the other Sound. To do it, push the 4d encoder on the Maschine MK3 or click on the dropdown menu/Internal/Audio where you see Sampler in the Sound inspector (in your screenshot should be over Compressor, just scroll up)

yeah correct there must be a module above those 2 fx, the vertical scroll bar is only visible if you have more than 2 loaded i missed that one.
