NI effects AAX will not load in PT
Hey Smartees! Installed Komplete Ultimate 14 a while back and my NI instrument plug ins load and work fine in PT session, my NI effects do not load and I get an AAE error -7054. All NI plug-ins are visible in the same Avid plug-ins folder (Bite.aaxplugin—Kontakt 7.aaxplugin etc..) I did notice the NI folder in Applications on my main HD drive, that have indv folders for each product, and there is an app file and documentation inside for instruments but only a documentation folder inside the effects products. Not sure if something is missing there. I tried tossing the NI cache file for Bite and restarting/rescanning and no change. I google searched and don't see anything more on it so here I am.
fyi, Mac Studio M1 ultra/Pro Tools 2024.6.0 Ultimate
Thanks for you help!

Our effects do not have standalone applications so it's totally normal, they only exist as plug-ins. For Kontakt you should have an application here:

Hey there,
Verify the NI effects plug-ins are located in the correct folder:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-Ins
- If the plug-ins are missing, move the
.aaxplugin
files for the effects from any alternative install location to the Avid plug-ins folder.
If certain effects like Bite aren’t recognized:
- Navigate to the Native Instruments preferences folder:
Macintosh HD > Users > [Your User Folder] > Library > Preferences > Native Instruments > [Effect Name]
. - Delete any files in the folder.
- Restart your computer and rescan in Pro Tools.
Note: the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, click on Go in the menu bar and press down the Alt key. You'll now find the Library entry in the menu:
Did that work out?

Thanks Jeremy. Everything is in the Avid plug in folder and I threw out the Bite plist file in user library, restarted and relaunched and this is the same error i get.
If i look in that folder path above, there are NI app folders there but not all effects have a folder(no Bite). If I look at Transient Master folder, there is a folder but it's empty. Kontakt 7 folder is there but only has presets folders and IR samples etc… but no plug in files or anything launch-able(program file).
If i try to load the plug again i get this message after.
I do have NI libraries on an external drive and wondering if that is an issue?
Here is install path for Bite, Transient Master FX and Kontakt7 are all the same path, fyi.
Anymore thoughts? I miss my NI effects!!

That did it!!
Yes, it was a permissions issue. Weird though that the instrument apps worked but not the effects.
Oh well, thanks for the help and maybe NI can make an extra notice about that on installation? Or maybe I just missed that warning? I have massive ADHD…
Cheers!
