Traktor 4 + Traktor Audio 6 - Timecode problem
Hello NI community,
I hope to find some help here because I couldn't find a clue on the internet.
I recently discovered the power of Traktor 4 and immediately wanted to download it!
Problem, my PC is a 2010 17'' MacBook Pro stuck on macOS High Sierra (10.13).
It can't be officially updated with newer OS and Traktor 4 need macOS Monterey (12) to work.
Hopefully, I find that I can update my PC using OpenCore Patcher.
The update works fine, and I finally manage to install Traktor 4!
I plug in my Traktor Audio 6 and 2 D2s to my mac, start Traktor 4, everything works like a charm!
The only "problem" I see is that stems creation is quite slow (about 30 to 45 minutes) but whatever, works for me!
After some mixing with the stems, now comes the time for scratching but my timecode vinyls don't get analyzed by Traktor.
The input sign on the Audio 6 turn on but nothing appears on Traktor 4. The Audio 6 inputs are both set to phono.
I try several stuffs : checked the audio 6 software but it's up to date, checked the drivers, restarted everything,… but the relative and absolute mode buttons keep their grey color and nothing appears in my timecode input on the software.
Everything worked fine before the update of course.
Do anyone have a clue or some tips to try to make everything work again ?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Louis

First guess: Do you have granted access to microphone to Traktor Pro? Usually it asks for it when started first time in newer versions of macOS. You can navigate there manually in system settings of macOS. Privacy and Security (hope it is called that in English as my macOS is set to German).
Second guess: Have you also installed the Audio 6 control panel? Maybe your Audio 6 is set to Direct Through?

Hallo Maniacintosh81!
Incredible but true, the microphone access trick worked xD
How are timecode and microphone even related??
Thank you so much, I would never have found by myself!
Hope your answer helps a lot of other people!
Cheers,
Louis

The Audio 6 is an audio interface with audio inputs. macOS handles any audio input as microphone - and Traktor needs to access the audio inputs for timecode usage. That naming is a little misleading if you want to connect other audio inputs.
