Komplete Kontrol software future ( loopop suggestion )

So in the Komplete Kontrol MK3 video that loopop did for the MK3 Keyboards he mentioned the possibility of more of our plugins working without the need for running Komplete Kontrol as a host plugin, and more or less how Kontakt supports NKS now without the need for the KK Host.

How close to this do you guys think NI is to offering this in the future , or do you think they'll continue to build it up as a host ?

Does NI plan on offering this?

Would you prefer this workflow, or the need for a host ?

I would like to see Massive X becoming an integrated synth but if that was to happen it would also be desirable for it to have a standalone version. On the whole though I think Komplete Kontrol will still be needed even if NI released a SDK enabling other plugins to work independently for several reasons:

    a) it won't cover everything

    b) many default mappings are rubbish (eg look at what ships with Dune 3) and no one mapping suits everyone, so I still would need to be able to build customised NKS and for that would need KK. Although on the face of it this sounds like a great idea, if it replaced KK it would remove our ability to create our own NKS and customise them as we like, so would take away user power. (incidentally this is also the flaw in relying too much on MIDI 2 to provide instant auto mappings it would enable a controller to read the plugin's mappings certainly, but you are still only reading whatever mappings have been setup by the developer and have no power to then alter them to better suit your needs),

    c) it could get very messy - one strength of KK is it creates potentially a unified interface for plugins, many of us tend to keep certain types of control where we expect to find them (eg filters to the fore) but in the hands of different companies who knows what their priorities would be? Also I know from experience that a lot of companies do not closely follow SDK guidelines. Just look at CLAP for example (the new plugin format) great idea so now most hosts that don't want people to stick with their own plugin format offer it, but still only Bitwig really does it properly - most have left out some features either because their host does not offer it or they don't prioritise them. Even with the well established VST3 how many companies actually support the full spec? Not many.

    d) If you need to load multiple plugins KK would be needed still
