Kontrol D2's freezing when not in use

Does anyone know if there is a reason that the Kontrol D2's freeze and need restarting if the software sits idle for a bit?
Everytime I leave my setup for 10 minutes and return I need to switch both D2's off and back on to have them work again.
The software is OK otherwise as I can still load and play using the Denon SC2000s I also have connected?
Happens in Traktor 3 and 4
