They wrote it's a used unit and they won't give me machine 3 software. Guess I have to send it back…
No, you don't have to send it back. You could use Maschine 2, or you could pay for the upgrade to Maschine 3 (which really isn't that different to 2 - at least not right now).
Upgrading ist more expensive then sending this one back and buying a new one.
…..then just use Maschine 2. You're not missing much by not having 3 at this point.
Exactly why they sent you a code for v2, because you can get a v3 license and still scam everyone by returning it and keeping the license.
No. When you return a unit and a new buyer gets it registered, you loose the liscence from your account.
I guess you didn't read the support page: "the seller keeps the software that came with the hardware - and the new owner receives it as well"
Your profile says you've already got a Maschine MK3 (which includes Maschine software) so what's the concern about software for the Mikro?
But your post is about getting v2 instead of v3, not where the licenses go. I don't understand how one can buy used and think a v3 upgrade comes for free.
hello @mordecai, did you return your mikro mk3? I own a Maschine Mikro MK2, and I just bought a Maschine 3 license because I lost the CD with the serial number on it. If you are interested, I could trade it for your Maschine 2 license.
