Z1 MK2 : Assigning sync tempo to sliders

I want to use th esliders to manually sync tempo. How can I do that ?

    Open PREFERENCES. Go to CONTROLLER MANAGER. Select the Z1Mk2 mapping in the dropdown menu at the top. Now press ADD IN… (at the bottom of the empty list). You will find all assignments there. Once you selected tempo adjust, press LEARN, move the fader to be recognized and press LEARN again. Repeat for the second fader.

    'Traktor.Kontrol.Z1.User' is the mapping for Traktor Kontrol Z1MK1, which is the 10 year old controller, not the new MK2. I pointed you to the right mapping. But it's a construction site. You cannot override the Z1MK2 controls with it at the moment. I did not know this before i tried to show you how it works (with all other devices except the S5 it works this way).

    Add In → Deck Common → Tempo Adjust

    You don't want your controller to be controling two different features on your sliders though - it's inporactical. Better grab a different controller, such as X1.

    thx and it’s not really answering my question. I now have the Z1 and I want to know if I can customize it.

    Agree and this is not what I want but effectively having ONLY temp sync on faders.

    Would you develop a bit allowing to understand what you mean with add in > deck common > tempo adjust ?

    But somehow it's not working : see pic.
    What am I doing wrong ?

    First, you have to select your Z1Mk2 mapping.

    Second, you have to use the assignment 'tempo adjust', not 'tempo sync'.

    Third, instead of 'Device Target' in the assignment dropdown, select deck A for the first and deck B for the second.

    Make sure your Z1Mk2 mapping has your device selected in the IN PORT dropdown menu.

    Correction, I now could assign but still not working on Pro4

    There are two reason why it doesn't work.

    1. You have opened the wrong mapping. This is the correct one: z1 MK2
    2. You have to wait for the next version of Traktor, when NI enables overmapping (which they haven't done yet). They do add this capability later, whenever that is. Sorry, you can't at the moment.

    I don't own the Z1Mk2, so i didn't know before that the assignment table is not yet accessible. But i loaded the mapping anyway, which is something Traktor does automatically when you connect the device.

    You have to be patient. I will pester them about this inaccesibility.

    Wait, there is no overmapping yet on Z1 mk2? I also don't have the unit but figured it was added already.
