Logic Pro opening projects in Kontakt

I am new to NI and Kontakt. I am composing in Logic Pro. Whenever I use a Kontakt sample and save the project (as a .logicx file) the next time I open the project, it opens in Kontakt 8 and I can't see the normal Logic Pro editing screen. I am not an experienced user so I may be doing something idiotic. But I have tried hard and wasted a day. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

    I'm sorry but it's hard to understand the issue here. Maybe you can share some screenshots?
