Browser track skipping - 9 months issue still not resolved

Why do I see every single issue related to this problem as being 'closed' including my unresolved submission recently! This is absolutely infuriating and I saw many posts on this issue. Basically, randomly Traktor decides that it will skip all of your tracks when trying to select the NEXT (+1) track in your library or playlist. There is no logic to this behaviour at all.

I decided to buy Traktor 4 Pro because I thought perhaps this bug would have been fixed but it still remains. Support - can you PLEASE address this issue!

You can see what I mean here. Typically I'll use the encoder on my X1 to rapidly move to the bottom of my playlist. But then if I want to select the (-1) track it just shoots right back up to the top. If I touch the encoder +1 again right back down to the bottom. How on earth can I make it so that I can only EVER go +1 or -1!!

    I've no other mapping installed! Only Z1 / X1

I use X1 mk2 for years and never had this issue with my unit. Could this be a faulty browser encoder?

I'd remap it to control the browser up/down and see if the issue could be duplicated. Also try to map the loop size to see if it is possible to select correct size values.

Putting the unit into it's Midi Mode is other troubleshooting step. Or testing on a different computer.

This is a good idea. There are websites that print out every midi signal they get.

But also is there not x1 / traktor setting that makes longer jumps if you turn the encoder faster? I'm not sure about it.

Nope. There is only the "scroll by one page" command.

I can now reproduce this. I think it's a feature.

On the x1 mk2, flick the browse knob in any direction and stop touching it. It will go almost 20 tracks or so.

If I do the same while keeping contact with the knob it behaves like normal.

If this happens to you while you keep touching it, maybe the touch sensitivity thing in the knob is broken. I really don't think this is a software bug.

Edit: When you just touch the browse knob without doing anything else, does the MIDI symbol in the top of traktor light up a single time? And again a single time when you let go.

Edit2: Make sure the browser knob is not a 3rd party one. I don't think touch works with them.
