R6 Blocks / "Clock" module' parameters - how to automate ?
Hi folks
As in description - how to automate parameters in Clock module (see pic in attach), in "Int" mode resp, like for playback button, BPM or Shuffle values ?
As i see - all rests Blocks modules (all their parameters) is automatable, but no Clock by some reason.
Would be fun.
Updared:
Oh sorry seems i figured how to. Thanks to all 👍️
(A bit strange that automation nodes did not enabled initially though, but ok)

You can't with the clock module.
Just roll you own - old school style - use an LFO set to square as a clock, and shuffle it with a divider:
Note that the LFO is set to unipolar mode (little icon at the top left), and the divider is set to divide by 2
Modulating the shuffle amount would require an extra mixer or VCA of some sort, and will effect the tempo slightly, so it really depends how deep you want to dive.
You can get quite creative with this type of patch, negative clock modulation can give more extreme results, and can be great for creating more interesting meta-structures in a generative patch.

colB oh thanks for variant, will keep in mind.
But
You can't with the clock module.
Why ? In edit mode i just enabled automation for Clock' parameters manually (in Connect tab), and host starts to see them.

That will work, they are regular controls, they just don't have the A/B modulation mechanism for whatever reason. Bugged me too. There are other Blocks that could do with more modulation options - like the quantizer, and the big mixer.
I think it's technical. Blocks was put together well, but with limited time and resources, you sometimes have to go the easy way for some things. A clock is pretty simple to throw together, and shuffle not bad, even maintaining accurate BPM in the contest of shuffle should be pretty simple. But add modulation to that and things can get more challenging depending on the implementation, at least in terms of ensuring there are no subtle little bugs in there. And a clock is crucial, so it better work right for everyone. So they kept it simple but functional.
The Midi note-in is an example of what I mean. That is tricky to implement, and the original shipped with a nasty bug that remained for a long time, it caused dropped notes for some users with some system configurations - might still be there.

@colB
Thnx for info(Sorry if there might have been a feel of slight incosistence - i just now noticed that your first post was about in the same time when i updated my start post with added info what i figured "how to", and you could not noticed that).
Frankly to say, even standard operation with Connects tab is new info for me (or i actually forgot lol, well, age), so just googled. Just in latest years not often appeal to R6. (Although today i was once again convinced how cool it capable to sounding).0
