mini Launchpad midi map to Pattern player

Since i'm using all 4 FX banks Traktor no longer shows the drum patterns in the interface.
So I wanted to make a visualization of the active patterns using a launchpad controlled via midi.

However when trying to set this up i've come across some issues
So far i got the active step to show up on the first 2 rows of the launchpad

However when i also bind a indicator to each step (to show which ones are getting fired) i noticed the indicator that sweeps across the pads will "wipe" the status leds of the patterns.
the pattern indicator will not show up until i pick a new pattern (and then gets wiped within the next 16 beats)

Is there a good way to deal with this so that the patterns keep getting updated each step to avoid getting "wiped out" ?

Ideally i'd have:

red → active step (no trigger)
yellow → active step (triggered)
green → patten-player step pattern true
off → pattern-player step pattern false

    Well, I have mapped the Pattern player a bit different as shown. I don't have any specific colour displayed, as the Steps are either on or off. But I can set any Step on or off manually, and I can step through the different Kits. This is for the regular Launchpad MK2, but I'm pretty sure you can adjust the mapping to any other Launchpad.
